Budget Season: Where Vision and Investment Intersect

We are in the midst of budget season and, as always, your Treasurer's Office is looking to the future with intentionality and purposeful planning so we can continue to serve you with innovation and enthusiasm.

Fueled by our vision of people serving people, not transactions, we are laser-focused on our customers. It is our deepest desire to serve you well and in a manner that defies the low expectations citizens generally have for government.

To us, success is adherence to and fulfillment of our vision, mission and core values.

We have had an outstanding year of service! Here’s a brief recap of the milestones we have accomplished this past year…

Fulfilling our Vision:

  • Personally served over 44,000 customers.

  • Earned a 97.5% satisfaction rating from our customers.

Fulfilling our Mission:

  • Handled a $73.1 million increase in bill volume.

  • Pursued $624 million in taxes across more than 400,000 accounts.

  • Managed $1.1 billion across 31 accounts, with an average of 91.3% actively invested.

Fulfilling our Values:

  • Successfully implemented 360º performance evaluations for all personnel.

  • Earning a projected $18.5 million in investment returns this fiscal year.

  • Achieved a 98.8% collection rate, the highest on record.

  • Continued serving local students through our tax game.

Our fiscal year 2025 budget request is $2,522,563. A modest increase, it will go towards personnel shortages and increased expenses related to postage and professional services.

Through our innovative investment strategy, we offset our budget more than 7 times over with investment earnings each year. And, when compared to other metrics, our budget is 0.19% of our total collections and 0.26% of total cash under management.
